Top Graduates: Muskegon Heights Public School Academy Presents Top 10 Scholars for 2015

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, MI – Muskegon Heights Public School Academy has announced its top 10 graduates of the class of 2015.

JaTeryn Moore is this year’s valedictorian and Antwan Moore is the salutator.

Here is a list of the top 10 high school graduates:

JaTeryn Moore, daughter of Joe and LeQuisha Moore. She has participated in the Marching Band, Early College, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Leadership Academy, and has served as the Education Council’s Student Ambassador and Reunion Queen. She plans to continue her education at Muskegon Community College and then move to Michigan State University.

Antwan moore, son of Bobby Wilson and Mark Moore. He has participated in the Marching Band, Muskegon Rotary Club, Muskegon Heights Optimist Club, and the National Honor Society; attended the Muskegon Region Career Technology Center; and was a returning prince. He plans to attend Muskegon Community College and then move to Central Michigan University to study athletic training.

Desiree Unique Johns, daughter of Tiwana Cato and Orlando Johns. She has performed with a Marching Band, Jazz Band, Cheerleader, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Muskegon Area Career Tech Center and has served as a Class Secretary. She plans to attend Muskegon Community College and then move to Grand Valley State University to study nursing.

Shanell sullivan, daughter of Trinell Scott and granddaughter of Patsy Payne. She has participated in the marching band and the National Honor Society; was on the honor roll; and served as student council president, class president, and prom queen. She plans to attend Grand Valley State University to study biomedical sciences.

Shyanna wilkinson, daughter of Nayko and Bobby Wilkinson. She has participated in the marching band and the National Honor Society. She plans to attend North Central Michigan College.

Taliea Mariee Franklin, daughter of Linda and Jesse Franklin. She has attended the Leadership Academy, Muskegon Heights Academy Dream Team, and Muskegon Area Career Tech Center and is a University Fellowship recipient. She plans to attend Muskegon Community College and then transfer to Ferris State University to study forensic pathology.

Alexandria Anderson, daughter of Curtisa Anderson. She has participated in basketball and plans to attend Baker College.

Dimaniquia Moore, daughter of Ruthie Robinson and Anita Moore. She has participated in a marching band and plans to attend Baker College.

Keoshia Wilburn, daughter of Willie and Maria Wilburn. She has entered marching band and art competitions and was Returning Home Duchess in 2014. She plans to attend Calvin College.

Hunter of Brittany, daughter of Arnita Gulley and Nathan Hunter Jr. She has attended the Leadership Academy, Marching Band, and Muskegon Area Career Tech Center. She plans to attend Baker College to study nursing.

De’André Steward, son of Stéphanie Houston and Carl Buster. He has been a member of a marching band, jazz band, and the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center and was Returning Duke in 2014. He plans to attend Baker College.
