The fastest growing institution in the US News Public University Rankings is also widely recognized for its excellent return on investment
MIAMI, September 12, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Florida International University is the nation’s fastest growing institution in U.S. News & World Report public university rankings for the past 10 years.
Miami-based FIU moved up six spots to 72nd among public universities nationwide, according to the rankings announced today.
The university also ranked among the top 5 universities for social mobility, a testament to FIU’s commitment to providing meaningful upward mobility for students on the path to success and prosperity.
In addition, FIU is listed among the top 50 public universities and among the 15 most innovative public universities.
This year, FIU debuted on the list of best undergraduate education in 16th place among public universities.
Individual programs also ranked among the best in the country, with international companies maintaining second place.
Computer science and undergraduate engineering rose four and nine places, respectively, among public universities.
In addition to the US News ranking, FIU recently received two other rankings that speak directly to the university’s mission:
Degree Choices ranked FIU among the top 25 universities nationally for economic return on graduate investment, as well as Princeton, Stanford and MIT.
Washington’s Monthly College Rankings placed CRF in 32nd place nationally, recognizing the university’s contribution to the public good in three broad categories – social mobility, research, and the provision of public service opportunities. .
