A highly regarded school in the country, Delhi Public School, Bangalore North (DPSBN) was awarded the “Pasch schule»By the Vice Counsel General (German Embassy) in Bangalore in September 2021 and identified as a member of the PASCH global network (among 300 schools worldwide).

NABET accredited school, DPS Bangalore North is known for its systems approach and design practices. For its global dimension and international connectivity in teaching and learning, the school has been awarded the Certificate of International Dimension in Schools for the period 2022-25 ‘by the British Council.

The school is very proud and respects its motto “Service before self”. Students initiate and raise awareness of societal issues and address them through campaigns, walks and fundraising events.

Our vision is to respect and appreciate all cultures, faiths and religions and to defend the secularism of India. We are very proud of our constitution, our rich heritage and our culture. Students are exposed to Indian art and culture through various programs like SPICMACAY. The school also has a strong NCC wing with its own shooting range and obstacle course.

The first “TedX Youth” was themed “Inclusion”. As an inclusive school, we pride ourselves on embracing the diversity of all nature. The inclusive nature of the school was highlighted by Shri Ramesh Pokriyal, MoE, GoI, during the Sahodaya 2020 Annual Summit.

The school works closely with CBSE on a number of projects. Some of them are listed below.

Some of the other projects launched by DPSBN for CBSE are as follows:

1. Selected by CBSE to be part of a CBSE Assessment Instrument Analysis initiative in association with Azim Premji University.

2. The director led a team to review the curriculum framework for science and to design diagnostic assessment questions under the auspices of the CBSE.

3. The director has been appointed a mentor in the SQAA pilot program.

4. The school was asked to create a manual for the CBSE on integrating sport and integrating peace into education.

5. The principal was among the first 20 principals in the country to conduct a virtual school inspection by the CBSE.

6. One of five schools for Curriculum Review Assessment, Online Review, and Board Tabulation.

7. Invited by DPS Society to share best practices in inclusive education, Indian heritage and culture, and online use of math and science tools.

The learning crisis caused by Covid-19 acted as an impetus leading to innovation spurred at DPSBN. ENTRAR, the school’s internal LMS, has grown into a secure online platform for delivering online lessons. As a CSR, the DPSBN supported the Badagandi rural school. Over 4000 training programs have been taken by teachers as CPD.

Teachers were given the ‘Work from Anywhere’ option, and paid time off was granted to those either affected by Covid-19 or caring for Covid patients. No job losses were assured during the pandemic.

Vaccination campaigns were carried out for all stakeholders in association with Manipal Hospital. Financial support and COVID protection kits have been provided to many COVID health centers across Karnataka.

DPSBN strives to create a culture that celebrates relationships, embraces diversity and promotes inclusion in all spheres. Faithful to their motto “Service before oneself”, they aim to create a fair and sustainable world for all.

The school believes in the proverb “It takes a village to raise a child”. To this end, the school works closely with scientific organizations, NGOs, community youth organizations, international organizations, cultural organizations Archeological Survey of India and hospitals.
